The origin of Silicone Extrusions dates back to 1981 and the Phoenix Rubber Company. Within the framework of diversifying the company into a fully fledged indutrial rubber company, the silicone rubber division was also started in 1981. This company soon made a name for its commitment in servicing the South African market and became the market leader in its field within 2 years.

In 1991 the silicone rubber division split away from Phoenix Rubber and thus gave birth to Silicone Extrusions (Pty) Ltd.

All Silicone Extrusions production is carried out at the Stormill plant in Roodepoort, R.S.A. The site is registered to ISO 9001:2000. This registration is continuously assessed and is an achievement which leans testimony to the company's commitment to product excellence and quality of service.
